Closed Beta Notice: ReVo is currently in closed beta. This privacy policy applies to all beta testers and early access users.

ReVo primarily acts as a data processor on behalf of our clients (project administrators), who are considered the data controllers. As a data processor, we process personal data only as instructed by our clients and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

We collect and process the following types of data:

  • Voice Recordings: When you provide a voice review, we temporarily record your voice.
  • Transcriptions: We convert your voice recordings into text format.
  • Analytics: We perform sentiment analysis and extract suggestions from your reviews.
  • Account Information: Basic information needed to identify you within the platform.
  • Technical Data: Information about your device and how you interact with our platform.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide the voice review service and convert speech to text
  • To analyze sentiment and extract suggestions from reviews
  • To improve our services and user experience
  • To ensure the security and proper functioning of our platform

5. Voice Recording Storage

Important: ReVo stores your audio recordings only for the duration of the Voice to Text translation process. Once transcription is complete, the audio files are immediately and permanently deleted from our systems. We do not maintain an archive of your voice recordings.

6. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to help us provide our platform:

  • AssemblyAI: We use AssemblyAI for speech-to-text transcription services. AssemblyAI receives your voice recordings temporarily for the sole purpose of transcription.
  • Cloud Services: We use secure cloud services for data storage and processing, with appropriate security measures in place.

All third-party providers are subject to strict data protection agreements and are GDPR compliant.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Time-limited signed URLs for accessing stored audio files
  • Private storage configurations with no public access
  • Role-based access controls
  • Regular security testing and monitoring

We retain different types of data for different periods:

  • Voice Recordings: Deleted immediately after transcription
  • Transcriptions: Retained as determined by the project administrator (data controller)
  • Account Information: Retained while your account is active

11. International Data Transfers

We prioritize storing data within the EU. If data transfers outside the EU are necessary, we implement appropriate safeguards in compliance with GDPR requirements, such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
